How to Beat Your High Score in Any Arcade Game
Simple habits that help in every game on this site.
1. Learn the rules of risk
Every arcade game rewards a certain kind of risk. In Snake 3D it is hugging walls for space, in Brick Breaker 3D it is aiming for corners, and in Flappy Glider it is staying calm in tight gaps. Spend your first few runs noticing what costs you lives, then change just one thing at a time.
2. Look ahead, not at your character
Beginners stare at the thing they control. Experienced players look at what is coming next. In Cloud Hopper that means the next two clouds, in Stack Tower it means the moving block rather than the tower, and in Star Blaster it means the incoming drones instead of your own ship.
3. Use power-ups deliberately
Boosts are most valuable when you save them for the right moment. A bomb crate is better used on a boss than on a few drones, and ghost mode in Snake 3D is best kept for when you have trapped yourself. Grabbing every power-up the instant it appears is not always the strongest play.
4. Take short breaks
If your scores drop after many attempts, you are probably tired. Stand up, drink some water and come back in a few minutes. Short sessions often produce better results than one long grind.
5. Chase consistency before records
A new best usually comes from steady play, not a lucky streak. Aim to reach the same level every time, and the high score will follow.
