About the game
RUNVERSE 3D is a polished 3D endless runner you can play right in your browser. Dash through a sunlit desert canyon full of mine carts and rolling boulders, race along glowing platforms in outer space, and survive a moonlit run through a haunted graveyard. Play three handcrafted levels with real goals and rewards, or jump into endless mode where the track never stops and keeps getting faster. Collect coins to unlock six original characters, each with a special ability, and spend them on single-use power-ups such as shields, coin magnets and revives. Your coins, unlocks and progress are saved on your device.
How to play
- Keyboard: Left and Right arrows (or A and D) change lane, Up arrow, W or Space jumps, Down arrow or S slides, Escape pauses
- Touch: swipe left or right to change lane, swipe up to jump and swipe down to slide. Optional on-screen buttons can be switched on in Settings
- Number keys 1 to 4 (or tapping the buttons at the bottom) activate the power-ups you equipped before the run
- Jump over low obstacles and gaps, slide under high beams and lasers, and change lane around tall obstacles
Scoring
Score grows with every metre you run, 10 points for each coin and 20 points for every row of obstacles you get past. In levels you must reach the distance goal and collect the coin goal. Each level gives a one-time coin reward the first time you complete it. In endless mode your best distance and best score are saved.
Tips and tricks
- Look ahead: obstacles are shown long before you reach them, so plan your lane early.
- Every row of obstacles always leaves a way through, so if you are blocked, change lane.
- Coins often trace the safest path, and coin arcs show you where to jump.
- Save the Revive power-up for your longest endless runs, and equip a Shield for the tricky later levels.
- Gaps get wider as you speed up, so jump close to the edge of the gap.
Frequently asked questions
- Is RUNVERSE 3D free?
- Yes. It is free to play in your browser with no download. Coins are earned only by playing and there is nothing to buy with real money.
- Does it work on my phone?
- Yes. Swipe to move, or turn on on-screen buttons in Settings. If it feels slow, set Graphics to Low in Settings.
- Where is my progress saved?
- On your own device in the browser's local storage. It stays when you close the page, but it does not follow you to another device or browser.
- How do the power-ups work?
- Buy them in the Power-Up Shop with coins. Each one is single-use and you can hold only 1 or 2 of each. Equip them on the Start screen and tap their buttons during the run. A charge is only used when the power-up activates.
- How do I unlock the next level?
- Reach both the distance goal and the coin goal. Level 2 and Level 3 unlock one after another.
